Our Story
One day we were walking on the dock after finishing an evening race in the San Francisco Bay estuary. Ron put his arm around me and said, "Let's buy a big ass boat and sail away." In November 2023 we bought a "big ass" boat and in 2025, we are going to sail away.

Ron and I were born and raised in California and share a deep passion for sailing. Ron began his sailing journey in the San Francisco Bay while attending UC Berkeley and later introduced me to the sport while we were dating. Ron taught me to sail El Toro boats at Lake Merritt in Oakland, and we celebrated our honeymoon by sailing through the British Virgin Islands. Over the years, we have raced our Laser 2 in various waters, including the bay, ocean, and California lakes, and we've crewed on boats in the bay and estuary. We chartered numerous sailboats in the Caribbean with friends and family, and now with our Catalina 470, Viva la Vida, we’re embracing the exciting challenge of cruising, which promises to be a wonderful life adventure.
