In September 2024, Viva la Vida under-went upgrades to enhance its safety and performance on the water. The standing rigging was inspected and replaced. The standing rigging, comprising various components such as shrouds, stays, and turnbuckles, plays a crucial role in supporting the mast and enabling it to withstand the forces exerted by the wind while sailing. Replacing this rigging not only improves the overall stability of Viva la Vida but also provide peace of mind for safety.
In addition to the standing rigging, new life lines were also installed. Life lines are vital safety features that help prevent crew members from falling overboard while navigating the waters.
This enhancement is part of a broader commitment to safety and reliability, ensuring that Viva la Vida is not only a beautiful sailing vessel but also safe.
